Temptation Lane can be a busy place

I wander down each street both near and far.

While waiting for Prince Charming’s handsome face

I watch in wonder at a shooting star.

Dream weavers have another tale to tell

while dancing on the boulevard at dawn.

Some even toss their silver in a well.

and make a wish for mythical James Bond.

But now a detour summons me away.

My schemes and dreams remain a mystery

for I must leave this avenue today

and chart my path - my way in history.

I’ve met a prince or two along these roads.

And it’s for sure I’ve kissed my share of toads.
