Trying to decide on a color for a blank canvas.

Blank Canvas

by Elizabeth Henderson

Blank canvas.
Azure, mahogany, mauve, indigo?
My hand wants to call it a day.
Lime, fern, emerald, olive?
My brain screams, "Throw caution to the wind!'
Amethyst, chartreuse, scarlet?
I must pull myself together!
Sepia, sapphire, puce?
I'm beginning to get bent out of shape.
I'm trying to wrap my head around something.
My paintbrush can't decide.
And neither can I.
Drawing a blank!
