Lying to yourself is the easiest way to lie

Liar

I am a good person
 
I am a good person?
 
But a good person
 
Doesn't lie.
 
I lie to myself
 
Everyday
 
I tell myself there's a chance
 
A chance that it could work.
 
When our eyes meet
 
I start to think
 
Maybe I'm right.
 
But I know
 
That all I do
 
Is lie
