This is a humorous poem.
Cookie Creations
The author has placed a warning on this post for language.
I think most of us can agree,
aroma of baked cookies is heavenly.
Chocolate chip, peanut butter,
snickerdoodles too,
I'll have two more, how about you?
I was a cookie queen for awhile,
cookies make many people smile.
One morning during the Christmas
season,
many holiday orders were
squeezed in.
It happened to be the day two
of the company executives
were there,
I piped Christmas decorations
on the cookies with flair.
There was red and green
frosting all over the place,
on my hands were more than
a mere trace.
I greeted the executives with
a handshake and a hello,
it got on their hands, but they
didn't know.
They began to help the cashier
up front,
so the task of telling them
I sure did punt.
But before the cashier could
tell them,
I heard a group of customers
laugh at 'em.
Their neatly pressed shirts
smeared,
with festive red and green,
it sure looked weird.
The tip of one of their noses
was a bright red,
one of the customers asked
"Rudolph, where's Santa and
his sled?!"
Needless to say they walked
back to my work station,
looking sheepish and quite
embarrassed in this
situation.
I got them take-out from a
restaurant , a big lunch,
we ate at my station to
avoid another smartass
bunch.
But soon we were joking
it was really funny in a way,
and the Cookie Creation's
sales were quite high that
day!
