Isn't It Ironic?

Bill Peters was the happiest man in the world.
He just received a call from the doctor. He was finally cancer free. Although he felt better for the last two years, he was always worried his wife would be a widow.
Walking to his wife's office to surprise her with the news, he waited for the light to turn red and began to cross. Noticing a white car coming toward him at a high rate of speed, he yelled for it to stop.
Instantly, he saw the irony of having beat cancer, only to be killed by a texting driver.
