The changing of summer to autumn and all the colors that go
A chapter in the book A Poetic Pause

Seasons End

by Lea Tonin1

In the cherry mist the tumbleweed roars.

Summer freeze...

The Gopher shouts before shutting its doors.

Purple breeze...

The Eagles shriek in gymnastic skies.

Crimson earth...

Quietly tripping old summer cries.

Absent mirth.

In the melting end of the seasons repast.

Devoured feast...

We chance the din recovering at last.

Conquered beast.

I've always enjoyed the colors and wildlife of fall, especially just as the season turns having said that Spring is my favorite but you can't beat those colors.
