a long way

to grow

so short

maybe my

lack of

verve stunted

my gifts.

If I change

the scent

of my skin,

I'm in.

If I change

the time

of the sun.

If I stop

breathing

I wonder

where I'd go.

Writing Prompt
Share with us one of your oldest pieces of poetry, exactly as you wrote it. It doesn?t need to be your earliest work - just something old enough that you can see your progression as a writer.
