a poem of faith
Twin Peaks
Between one mountain and the next
are chasms wide and deep.
Swift waters surge and eagles’ soar
above the ridges steep.
Lush mountains call and I must go
embracing newfound hope.
Each breath I take brings certainty
to conquer, learn, and cope.
I long to climb these mighty slopes.
View vistas far away.
But soon eroded rocky paths
mislead, deceive, betray.
At last, I reach the mountain’s peak
and face the rising sun,
where verities I’ve come to know
belong to everyone.
Created in His image and
for all eternity.
To love, obey and follow Him
and claim our destiny.
