What the art gave me
She hides her true self
Behind a mask of smiles
Her soul tortured ...daily
Crying inside for what
Could have been
Should have been
It was all a lie
He was a lie
Where love should have been sacred
He used it as a punch line
Holding it just out of reach
Taunting
Her heart ...shattered
Her peace ...stolen
Her mask ... in place
