Loop poem for children
Choo Choo Trip
I'm gonna take a journey,
Journey, far and wide.
Wide eyed and excited,
Excited for this ride.
Engine leads, so big and black,
Black and oh, so strong,
Strong enough to pull ten cars,
Cars lined up so long.
Finally, a red caboose,
Caboose crew peeking out.
Out of time, it's time to go,
Go with happy shouts.
The engineer yells, "All aboard!"
Aboard the train we climb.
Climb up the stairs, and down we sit,
Sit down just in time.
We start to move so slowly,
Slowly first then fast.
Fast as Grandpa's truck I think.
Think this is a blast!
A lady waves as we pass by,
By the ice cream store.
Store clerks pause and listen to,
To choo choo train's great roar.
We pass a little pond with fish,
Fish all gold and bright.
Bright pennies shine and sparkle there,
There at this peaceful site.
We roll along, the whistle sounds,
Sounds Of chugga choo,.
Choo choo train glides for a while,
While Mum's still in the queue.
Too soon, the trip has ended,
Ended for us all.
All the children thrilled by this:
This train trip 'round the mall!
