Will come hopping your way
E Bunny
The Easter Bunny was quite late,
his orders far behind.
So many eggs he had to hide,
for all the kids to find.
The clock ticked loudly on the wall,
and all his helpers knew,
that it would soon be time to leave,
the day was almost through.
E Bunny loaded up his cart,
it was filled to the brim,
with chocolate bunnies, baskets, eggs.
Would there be room for him?
Still somehow he squeezed in a spot,
and rumbled down the street.
The moon above provided light,
the fresh air smelled so sweet.
So many stops he made that night,
he sang his favorite song.
"Here Comes Peter Cottontail",
the birds all sang along.
Then up above a rumbling,
made poor E Bunny shake.
If rain came down the eggs would be
quite ruined, no mistake.
E Bunny he looked quick around,
he was quite smart you see.
He plucked a mushroom from the ground,
the eggs remained rain free.
But soaked right through E Bunny was,
he wished a towel was near.
A friendly wind soon dried him off,
as he wrung out each ear.
He finished his deliveries
to kids on Easter day.
When E Bunny was finally through,
the sun came out to stay.
When he got home he was content
to warm up by the fire.
Eat lots of carrot cake and stew,
To fill his hearts desire.
Each Easter Sunday he will come
to brighten up your day.
So don't forget, he'll be here soon,
it's only days away!
