Spring will take...
Center Stage
Our tickets have expired,
Winter's show has left the stage.
It had a pretty good run,
but it's time to turn the page.
The backdrops have been melting,
snow and ice have turned to mud.
A Spring rain has been falling,
soon the trees will start to bud.
The sun will stop our shivering,
as the temps begin to rise.
The smell of flowers harken us
to green fields, no surprise.
A new script has been written,
with new names on the marquee.
Spring will star in this new play,
one we can't wait to see.
It will be a great production,
on the pavement soon will shine
the stage lights of Spring's theatre,
stars above will do just fine.
The reviews will be stupendous
on the entertainment page.
Spring will delight on opening night,
critics say she's all the rage.
So buy your tickets early,
for this lovely Springtime play.
It will last, but short a time,
so enjoy it while you may.
