Worlds Collide: A Character Mashup

Ever wondered what would happen if a famous character ended up in a completely different world? Take a beloved figure from movies, TV, fairy tales, mythology, books, Broadway, video games, comics, or even history, and drop them into a whole new setting. Picture Sherlock Holmes as a space pirate, Cinderella as a cyberpunk hacker, or Darth Vader as a rebellious high school teacher. The challenge is to reimagine a well-known character in an unexpected story while keeping their core personality intact. While the world around them changes, the character’s core personality and key traits should remain recognizable. All forms of creative writing are welcome; word count is 3000 words or less.  All entries must be original and transformative works.

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 24.00 member dollars. There are 10 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 54.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
