We live in an era of polarizing politics.
Whether one is a liberal or a conservative, it has become common to view the opposing side as not just misguided but evil, stupid, ill-intentioned.
The truth is, ALL Americans want what is best for America. We merely disagree on what is best, and how to make it happen.
Write about the opposing side. What are their values? Why do they support the policies and candidates they do? What do they ultimately hope to achieve?
This is NOT an opportunity for sarcasm, snark, or insults.
Please make a genuine effort to understand what motivates those on the other side of the political aisle. Consider it an exercise in empathy. 500-2000 words.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 44.00 member dollars. There are only 1 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 48.00 member dollars.
