Shakespeare's Muse

The topic for this contest is: Write a prose piece about what inspired Shakespeare to write. It can include original poetry but, none of Shakespeare's. His muse can be anything you wish from a family member to a rock sitting in a stream to yourself transported by a time machine. Feel free to make-up any wild fictitious scenario you wish. But, remember that we are looking for "Shakespeare's Muse".

Write a story that somehow incorporates the topic. The story does not have to be specifically about the topic. But should clearly incorporate the topic into the story.
