What a hoot!
My husband was so into fish he might as well have been a fishmonger. 'for the halibut,' was one of his favorites.'
Reel-y clever word substitutions!
God bless and my best,
Relda

Hi Lisa
These stories of your romantic encounters are just terrific. It must take a lot of time even though it's just 50 words. You're so witty!
I wanted to read "... but in an act of cod he was run over by a (basstard)."
But, in any case, your work deserves a six, and I have one left!
Cheers

Great stuff with so many puns and so much wordplay. And now we've come to the end of these hilarious series. What do you have in mind for a future series? Cheers. Judy

I can't believe I've finally found someone who can outdo me on fish puns. I've often used "just for the halibut," and "shellfish" and various versions of "sole," but "inter-net prawn??" "Sharkastic?" "Riding off on her pike." I doff my hat to the fintastic job you did. On a scale of 1-10, I give this fish tail an 11. I guess that makes me a pretty finny gill myself - or maybe you've just got me hooked on these puns.

Hi Michele - thanks for the brilliant rating!
This story is the one I like most myself; I saved the best for last as it is the 50th, but now I have written a few more - so I just may launch into another series soon. Puns are addictive, as you have obviously noticed yourself in your own fondness for them.

You are amazing. I just loved this clever assortment of "romance with..." Such fun. This one with the fishmonger rates among the best of them, but all have been great. Marilyn

A very well-written romantic commentary about a life with a fish monger is more fishy and we cannot smell the roses of the coffee. It seems to be doomed from the very start.

I love this Lisamay, how clever to use all those fishy words and it still makes perfect sense.
She considered riding off on her pike, but in an act of cod he was run over by a bass. great line.
cheers,
valda

OMG this is just funny and clever and well done. Love it. We can all go on forever. Writing short is a real talent. Was this one that just popped out or did it take substantial craft?

Thank you so much for your wonderful review.
None of these 50-word stories has an easy birth; I have to think of an occupation that might provide fertile territory (some are too boring or i don't know enough about them) then it is a juggling job to try to make it fit the 50 word limit and still make sense, as well as being a bit funny or suggestive. It is keeping my brain agile writing them, but after doing 50 of them it might be time for a break.
