Lots of fun! Loved the wind-up and finding out his partner is the killer. On the other hand, if you had waited until the end for the reveal! Track the roses, watch the suspect from the back... then catch his partner of all people!!!! Lol Save the reveal till the end like Perry Mason! Lol love these!!!! So fun!!!

Hi Susan. He would not have been able to save her if they had not tailed his partner. They followed him to her place. Thank you for taking the time to review this and give your wonderful words
Comment from Lady Jane
I would have liked to save them(,) too.
Oh. My. Goodness. Pam, this is another FANTASTIC story/mystery poem. I am in awe of your clean vision for each right. Your words flow down the screen with complexity and poise. Every stanza is formatted with meticulous care and shares your vision of the poetic masterpiece. I love that he was able to save at least one, but wow, three dead :( You captured the essence of someone embedded in such a plight well and the desperation to catch the 'killer.' Wonderfully done with crisp rhyme and complete package! Nothing to note for change (except the tiny comma) so...until next installment...
By the way, if you follow this one through, you can write a book of his dealings with this murder, amongst others, and craft an entire series around him. Make the good guy - the entire theme :) I'd help ya...we could team write it! Just a thought...murder mysteries are my favs can you tell? hehe

Yes, I can tell. I have written other mystery poems. I was thinking about mystery crime thrillers in a poem. I just don?t know how to publish anything. Not sure poetry is a big seller. I do want your help on mental health publications which accept poetry. I am going to write a third installment on bi polar. My grandson has OCD. I want to interview him as well. Thank you for your fantastic review. My house is being torn apart to replace carpet with tile to make it easier for my wheelchair. Everything is everywhere. I don?t even know where my laptop is. Things will settle down after next week. I am getting kicked out of my bedroom for at least two days. Take care

Oh my...you mentioned that earlier... I hope things settle. But, until then, keep writing, keep smiling, and keep knowing you have many friends and family who love and appreciate you! I am one of them...chin up-Janelle

Comment from Gloria ....
Terrific poem, Pam. A murder mystery and rhymed and metred poem all in one. I like the alternating rhymes as it gives a bounce to the read.
I'm glad the detective figured out it was his partner. Really enjoyable read. :)

Hum, different from most posts, a Law And Order set to rhyme. Brings memories of old time classics like Dangerous Dan Macgrew, the Green Eye of the Yellow God and such. Excellent work.

A crime story set in verse. That is so impressive. And clever. The rhyme was superb, the tension was fantastic and the meter was nicely maintained. It not only flowed as good poetry should, but it kept the reader enthralled like a good old Agatha Christie. I loved this.

Wow, you did an entire murder mystery in verse! Great job in giving us a detailed modus operandi and all the steps leading to the capture of the murderer who turns out to be his partner.

This is something that cannot be taken lightly and I know this is fiction, but the reality of serial killers is something quite profound and chilling, love Dolly x

Quite a story! Well done in poetry form with strong
descriptive images and well rhymed lines.
I'm glad it was fiction, although I imagine things like this
happen far too often.

You are so clever at telling such intricate and interesting stories in your poems, whether they be biographical or fictitious. You have such skill, and I greatly enjoy reading all your work. You inspire me and I love how we are so similar in some aspects- makes you feel less alone and kind of understood doesn't it? Another fab story. This reminds me of the thriller books that I like to read, keep you interested and full of twists x

Comment from Sandra du Plessis
A very well-written poem about serial killers that never stop until they are caught. Usually, there is a trail behind them with dead people before he gets to be judged on their horrific deeds.
