Aha! I've got it, I'm arriving right at the end. I shall slowly work back to the beginning or shall I start in the middle my friend?
I love it again. The alliteration..the rhythm... the dancing... skipping and bouncing that your skilful poet's voice sings in my ears.
I so love Jani and the dog called Jack, I want to pat them and kiss them and dance on their track. I live on a Goat Farm where miniature goats play.... I just made that up, sorry.
I wish I had these when I was a teacher. Anita

Perhaps I will seek a review from you, as a former teacher, when I get them finished and, hopefully published. - Wendy

Hi Wendy!
I've got to get in here more often, you've nearly worked through the alphabet already! I love you 8/7 syllable count lines and musical meter which moves the story along at a great pace for the reader. Excellent abcb rhyming and a nice amount of alliteration such as: yani/yergler/yodel and guide/goat. I noticed your clever writing in stanza two by switching the Yo with Oh from lines one to three. Excellent writing my friend. I'm gonna go back and read some more chapters :)
All the best,
Rodger

Hi Warren, I just posted Quincy Quinar, so you can even get $ and points if you take a peek at that one. I appreciate your thoughtful review, as always. You are the first to notice the switch, so you get bonus points for this review. - Wendy

Hahaha!!! Just loved this, but that ending is what I think will make children smile the most!! The poetry rolls off the tongue like an acrobat tumbling one roll after another!!! Bravo!!

Thank you Alf. My alphabet kids are almost grown and ready to go out into the real world. Just four left, I think, then I am going to take the leap into the scary world of publishing with them. Your enjoyment helps me stay on course. - Wendy

You're almost done, Wendy! Another excellent chapter in your book. Excellent rhyming and excellent imagery created for your young reader. I love "Yergler". It's like another name for 'yodler". It made me smile. :) The "mountains", the "goats", the "alpine sky" ... it all spells Switzerland.
Well done! Children will love it, and I love it too! ~ ~ Connie

That could be confusing to a little dog. LOL This is a well written catchy poem Wendy. The Swiss are very good at yodeling. Although I have Swiss blood running through my veins I have never been able to yodel. It's probably the English, Irish parts of me that ruined it for me. LOL Well done. Nancy

Awww, this is so adorable - and kids of all ages will like it. It's bright and airy, which matches the out door setting of the goatherd and his goats and dog.
I loved the last two lines:
Jack has never found the boy with
Yani's voice who answers back.
They put a happy smile on my face. Well done.
Heather.

Poor Jack! How very confusing for him! This poem would sound rather good rendered by an expert yodeller. My efforts to read it aloud were rather feeble. However, I can imagine the fun that could be had trying to read it to a child!

Thanks for the fun review tony. I sort of had that fun in mind when I decided to go with the yodel theme. I did have to laugh when one reviewer mentioned the tongue twisting opening line too. And I would suggest you try singing, rather than reading the yodel refrains aloud. . .might give an even bigger laugh. - Wendy

A very well-written poem for your book. The Swiss people seem to all have that great talent of jodel. And they Lune be to be in the Alps with their goats.

One of my fond childhood memories was of stopping in a little Swiss town nestled in the alps where they had a yodeler in the square. I had never heard it before and was quite mesmerized. Thanks for the review. - Wendy
