Lol! Well, it's a challenge now to find a post of yours that I haven't already reviewed. This one I can't blame on Dean. After reading the poem, I'm wondering how many people actually did eat a "bug guts pie" and never knew about it!

Thank you so much, Helen, for going back to read my older foolishness. It isn't anything we want to think about, but I'd say we've all eaten a few along the way. I appreciate YOU and your continued encouragement every day!!!

Well, this took a turn! I was ready for a delicious description of homemade pie and now I am knee deep in a memory of the time I ate a bee on a piece of pie and got a horrible sting! But your little 3-5-3 poem brought a chuckle along with the grimace so job well done.

You've gone back to read poems that I didn't even remember, and I thank you. I don't write poetry or know the first thing about it. Just every great once in awhile I used to get in a silly mood to do something outside my comfort zone. Much appreciated!

Good writing, but Yuck!

Breeze brings bugs
Blindly breathe bug broth
Bombardment

thanks so much, I just copyrighted this for later use.
You get my mind to gear up. You are a muse! Good writing. Karen

Thank you, Karen, for bringing back to my attention something I didn't even remember writing. But it's kind of typical that I'd want to gag someone rather emphasized the sweet goodness of a pie. Your mind is always in gear, and many times as much or more twisted than mine. :-) Much appreciated!

The flow was strong. I felt the imagery was very clear. I can see where my grandchildren and others would like this writing.

Unfortunately again, you don't appear to understand all the correlation between the title, poems, phrases words, and the pictures. And once again, I'm so glad you are only one of the few. Have a nice day.

Again it was not my intention to upset you. However, please do not assume that I do not understand correlation or linkage in your writing. I was very clear on what I saw and wrote. Again I may be new to this site however there are times we all have those who like or dislike our work. This was merely a critique. I was not ganging up on you. I am sad that you are so upset an defensive. I have received critique of both positive and negative about my stories. It is my perception that this is a creative site that is used to help, teach and learn from. Again my apologies if I was upsetting in any way.

You're incredibly good at this type of poetry and prompt. This is an imaginative, funny quirky spin on the prompt you were given. You've got a new fan!

I absolutely loved this! You convey meaning in so few words in this 5-7-5. The reader definitely gets the picture. Haven't we all been there? The piece was conveyed in a very humorous manner and it made me smile. Nicely done! Thank you so much for sharing, my friend! Good luck in the contest!

I swallowed a bee once--they are very fuzzy tasting. He had crawled in my can of pop. Fortunately, he didn't sting me. I think flies are safer. Good entry. Best wishes in the contest, my friend~Debbie

LOL! Oh, thank you so much for that line, Debbie, it's better than the poem! HA HA! I'm so tickled I forget what I was going to say . . . Thank you so much for taking time to read my poem, and entertaining me with your hilarious comments. What even makes your lines funnier is, this story actually came to mind because of a bee that I swallowed from a can at the golf course. I did get stung in the throat, played two more holes, then was rushed to the emergency room because my throat swelled shut. I was unconscious upon arrival and turning blue, but fortunately a couple shots and an IV fixed me up in an hour. I went back and finished the golf tournament, against doctors instructions of course. These types things are never funny at the time, but I guess it's good we can laugh about them later. Your kind words and wonderful review are greatly appreciated. :-)

Haaaaaaaa, I'm laughing my face off on this one Ric, even though is absolutely nothing fun about swallowing a fly. It's always been a close call for me and luckily for the fly it got away. Weeeeeeeeeeee.

Super job with this incredibly witty and slightly dark little air poem. Granny always told me to close my mouth so flies wouldn't get in.

HAAAA. Love it!

Thank you so much sweet lady for taking your time to rush in and save me from the wolves. I have never had to deal with so many idiots and assholes in my life before the last four days. And I must attribute it to posting three poems and a story that I condensed down to 700 words to make a word limit, which turned out to actually be a 1,000 word limit. I think I've had six one-star reviews, and one crazy bat named NIKA2016 went ballistic on me over a picture with my moonshiner poem she called stereotyping. It's been a week from hell, well, not all together. There are some very nice people here, and especially you, but now I'm starting to understand why they used to frustrate you so bad. Hell, I'll just quit and go away. LOL! Sorry for the rambling, you just happen to be the only person who I know will listen and even care. Your kind words, and extra special six-star review have come at the perfect time to save me from throwing this damn computer across the room and yanking the wires out of the wall. I can never thank you enough! So please don't run away and think I've gone crazy. Six nut cases in two days is all that I can stand. I appreciate you! :-)

I think this is a provocative and very well written piece. it shows imagination, lots of imagination. In a few lines there is a entire story. Love this piece.
