Hi, What can I say. I liked the mini poetic story.
And or I would not be here to let it show.. But Fanstory cared I added.. pro and cons.. True one should, I agree. But if one liked it as me. What is there to add .. you see? Having taught children for a long time. Know this would be well liked and I have nothing more to say.. But well done! Regards nartoonla

Oh, thank you so much. I like Wally, and I'm so happy you do, too.

Having taught children, you are the perfect critic. Thanks, again. 8-)

What charming verse you've penned here Damommy! Very well done!

Your poem brings a smile to my face every time I read it, especially when pronouncing the name you chose for Wally's pet, Willow Armadillo - that's so delightful. And I can just imagine the children clustered at your feet, giggling and enthralled by this latest chapter of Wally's escapades.

I'm entirely impressed by the way you've woven your poem around its delicious rhymes and personifications and targeted the age group you've intended without talking down in any way, and at the same time educating in the process.

The only interruption to the natural rhythm, and where I frequently stumble, is on the first line of your final verse, which doesn't scan as well as it might, but overall I just love this sweet little story of yours.

Regards, Blu

What a lovely review! I appreciate it so very much. I'm happy that you like the Wally stories. He's been off the track with his painting lately, experimenting in other things. I think he needs to get back to his palette.

    I'll look at that line.

I'm glad you like Willow, too. I have a lot of fun writing these, and it makes my day when I get a review like this one. Bless your heart. 8-)

This is a lot of fun to read and totally appropriate for kids of all ages. I like to see weasels and armadillos getting along. Next it will be ferrets and opossums of minks and raccoons.

Thank you. I'm so glad you liked it.

I've had opossums and raccoons eating together in my back yard. When it's not a matter of survival, I think animals get along together. 8-)

A nice story line to tell. The thoughtful Wally with his new found dependent Willow. A fictional story in a poetic format is always challenge to write and you achieved the meaning with some rhyming. The continuity from picking it up to fluffing the pillow for the little Willow is just a fine story line. I enjoyed reading this piece. Best.

Another delightful poem with Willy and the addition of an armadillo. We used to live on a street named Willow, and named our little orange Manx cat the same. I love it too! I did not know armadillos purred, so you taught me something. I cant eait for future adventures in painting with Willow's short arms!!

Yes, her size may be a detriment to ever being an artist. LOL.

Thank you for your lovely review. I'm happy you enjoy little Wally.

Everyone sure seems to enjoy your poetic adventures of Wally the Weasel, Yvonne, and rightly so.
It seems here that Wally has made a true friend for life in little Willow Armadillo.
Excellent writing and rhyming throughout, featuring a unique and intriguing rhyme scheme, good characterizations, a very cutesy story, and a smooth and even flow.
Best of luck to you with all of your future Wally the Weasel endeavors.
If these aren't published somewhere yet they should be.
Take care,
Dean

Oh, thank you! High praise, coming from you. You have made my day.

A lot of people say they should be published, but I never know if they're just being nice. I'm publishing-challenged, and haven't figured out how or where to go with it. Self-publishing? How to get it "out there." etc.

I really do appreciate your comments very much. Thank you! 8-)

Amazon.com has a very good self publishing department, Yvonne. Or, simply ask a fellow member here, like Douglas Paul, for example, how they got their book of children's poetry published.

You're more than welcome, my friend.
    Good luck!

You know, it's funny that you said "Wally the Weasel endeavors." That was one possibility of a title choice, "The Endeavors of Wally Weasel." Great minds, you know. LOL. LOL.

Thank you for this lovely review. I hope you like the other Wally stories as well. I tried to have something interesting in all of them, and also words that a little one would have to ask the meaning, and maybe increase his/her vocabulary.
