I am not sure that you achieved this Codary Poem format, as I don't see couplets or tercets. Maybe you have the wrong notes here. At an rate, the sentiment of the poem is touching.

    Thanks for a gracious review.
I started out thinking Codary poem but changed format and forgot to change the notes.

HI Shirley, it is sometimes hard to face memories of your past...I have been there...there are good and there are bad ones...we learn from the bad...it doesn't make it any easier...they call it wisdom...I call it heartbreaking...if you can sweet girl...put the bad ones in a place you will never go...and cover them with good ones....very well written...Love ya you...Linda xxoo

    Thanks Linda.
I appreciate your review and advice.
As I am walking a path to healing through acknowledgement and release of old memories
and the ties that bind them I have to do this.
I am a sufferer of symptoms of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome which are at times quite debilitating.
Recent studies point to a link between repressed memories and physical symptoms.
I want, and need, to let go. I want to be free, so just walk with me.
I can't repress them any longer.

I'm here if you need me...anytime...if you just want to call...come knocking...I do know Shirley how hard it is to let go of the bad memories...you would think you could stop them from coming...they are the past...but as we get older...the past gets stronger...of course I will walk with you...just write about them..God Bless sweet girl...love ya Linda xxoo

    Thanks Linda.
I am probably in the best place I have been in my life.
I am vocalising, writing, sharing and releasing memories.
I don't think you ever really forget you just choose not to be governed by the past.
I have found writing and poetry to be among the most therapeutic activities for healing. I do appreciate the wonderful people on this site who support without judgement.
You have proven to be a real beacon of positivity and support and I truly thank you.

I am not familiar with this poetry form, but I DO know what I like, and this is certainly one I admire greatly - it is heartbreaking but also inspiring, full of wisdom, and very deep. I loved it!

    Thanks Dawn.
    I really appreciate your support.
I do like to challenge myself with different forms.
It is a pleasure to receive a positive review from a writer/ poet I admire.
Unfortunately this is not always the case.
It is just as well I write for pleasure and for healing and am not reliant on reviews
to make me feel good about myself and my writing.
Thoughtless reviews can be disheartening and demoralising.
Your warm, caring nature is so heartfelt.

This poem doesn't seem biographical per say as much as just a general reflection on looking back on one's life, the good and bad. There isn't much of any specific memory or event mentioned in this poem at all. It's all very vague and could be applied to anything, not something specific as the word "biographical" would imply. More specific remembrances to accompany the emotional reaction in the poem (like birthdays, weddings, graduations, etc) could help to give the poem a stronger biographical element.
