A heart-tugger, well worth reading. You may have written fast, but you wrote well. I am late to the show with this one, so if there were any glaring errors they have been corrected long ago. All I could see was a few punctuation problems, and some smoothing out here and there. The editor in me pops up, but most people wouldn't care about those things. Congratulations on your win. Keep writing!

    Thank you. I welcome help with punctuation, it seems to be my weak point. I intend to take some classes and learn some more about writing.I did edit and pull the story together some.

Stranger things have happen. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read. There is very good imagery. Congratulations on your win.

    Thank you. I have heard of things like this happening. When my sister-in-law died a little over a year ago I am sure she came back and gave me a hug. I was wide awake and felt someone come up behind me and give me a big hug. I was thinking how much I missed her when this happened. We were very close.

That was a beautiful, yet heart wrenching, story...
I take it, that it was fiction though. I thought your husband retired, from work, not life...
You definitely have an ability to tell stories.

This is a very well written story. It held my interest wanting to know if that promise would be fulfilled. The power of believing can trespass time and feelings. A great lesson in the power of believing.

Not having both parents in the delivery room at the time of birth can be devastating.

"Fred" was there in a way many others could never be.

If his actions did not provide you faith in him nothing would.

Easy to see why this won this contest.

WHOA! This story literally brought tears to my eyes.... Great message and story. Truly inspiring in a way of no other kind of thing I've read. This is FAITH! I love it!

    Thank you, Edgar. This is not a true story but I have heard of things such as this happening. My older sister was a registered nurse and she would tell of some pretty strange supernatural things. Things the doctors and nurses could not explain.

    Thank you. Yep, there were a lot of errors but the reviewers straightened me out in a hurry. I edited a couple of times before the contest.

This is an excellent story. Very moving. Your writing style is smooth and flows easily keeping the reader's attention. Your dialog was believable and you fit it in perfectly allowing the story to be told without distraction. Great story--thanks for sharing ~Chris

This is a really good story. I didn't spot any errors or problems with it. I'm assuming it's fiction but it's written like it were real.
