A well written fitting tribute to Robert Frost. Your poem follows the required poetic format which certainly spells out the poets name. Evi

I was wondering why you would be reading this, when it's quite an old posting, and I don't think it got promoted at all. Then it dawned - it was sitting there on a lonely 14 reviews! I seem to recall someone mentioning something about that a week or two back. I still don't know how you found this particular one, but that is very sweet and kind of you to review it for me. Thanks, Evilynne, I'm very grateful :)

It was I am Cat's idea. I've kind of been searching at random, and it hasn't been all that easy to find these. I scroll down the portfolio and check out the ones that are just one review away from the award. Have a very Happy Holiday. Evi

It's nice to see you writing...
I love Frost's poem, your poem is very interesting with its very
stoccato verses... I wouldn't have recognized 'you' inside this one.
But I liked it, nonetheless. You did well in the contest, congrats...
I'm a bit sad I didn't know you were writing again... ah well, the road moves ever
forward.
I wish you all the best.

I've only posted 2 things in recent weeks, and both have been in blind contests...
Thanks for the kind comments, Cat.

I enjoyed reading your excellent acrostic. It's clear and direct using his poem, "The Road Not Taken" as a focal point for your piece. Very nicely done.

I like your author choice Robert Frost. Of course, I heard of him, but I have not read anything by him that I remember. Thank you for sharing your poem. Based on it I think it will be worth my time to goggle him. I like the format of your acrostic poem. I never saw it in that format before, I think it is interesting. I also think your poem flows well.

Thanks, Angel123, for your kind words. I agree it would be well worth reading some of his work - he's not my favourite (that one was already taken), but he is up there :)

I do believe The Road Not Taken is the best known poem of Frosts. It has a haunting quality to it that makes it a poem for the ages. This acrostic is very well done. The flow is smooth and the rhyme is flawless. Exccellent read.

Wow, this one is going to be hard to beat. It moves along with a snappy tempo, yet has a contemplative feel to it. "The Road Not Taken" is a wonderful poem and your tribute to it and to Mr. Frost is well executed. Best of luck in the contest.

This is a great poet acrostic poem and tribute to Robert Frost, one of our most loved poets. You play well with his most loved poem "The Road Not Taken." I enjoyed how to incorporate it to celebrate and keep true to its spirit. I enjoyed reading this and I wish you success in the contest.

Great choice to select one of Frost's best-known poems as the subject for your acrostic on his name! You hold that theme of the road less travelled together really well throughout the piece, even ending your poem on the same word as his.
The short lines and clever, solid rhyming move this along quite smartly despite the apparent length. Also noticeable is some wonderful word choice, used appropriately and correctly (the opposite seems to be a common failing on FS!) whence and hence, balk, eschew, awry all add to the formality of the poem and complement its meaning.
Well done - whatever beats this will be a good one!

Thank you so much, Steve, for your wonderful comments, and for the much appreciated "six star" rating. There are, indeed, some other very good entries, so I'm not overly confident; but I very much enjoyed topic of the contest. Your review is very much appreciated!

I like this poem and the message behind it. It's not where we came from but what we do and where we end up that matters, I like that. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.
