This is so beautiful. Congratulations on becoming the Writer of the Month. I would have missed this lovely little tribute to the Wall and our veterans if you hadn't been named, and I'm so glad I found this poem and your site.

A nice entry in this antonym poetry contest, an excellent contrast between the two opposites, an excellent choice, this is a worthy entry in this contest, well done, good luck, blessings, Roy.

This antonym poem, At the wall, provides a poignant look and a rhyming couplet to set up this message of loss and remembrance. Nice.

Poignant. Especially for those who lived through that era. Many died. Most lived on. Some with many scars. Best wishes with your entry.

This is a poignant message of the many who have gone to that wall to see and touch the name of a buddy who was lost in that ugly war. Blessings Patricia

You have managed to imbue this trite contest with great feeling and empathy, considering the brevity of the form. I particularly liked the choice of 'recovered' as an antonym for 'lost', rather than the more obvious 'found'. The double meaning of 'recovered' is a great strength in your poem.

This is a very poignant and heart wrenching poem for this difficult Antonym competition, Your wonderful words stand on their own without artwork, good luck in the contest my friend.

Hi...
Most heartfelt all around, from your words to the awesome picture.
My son has been in the Navy for 28 years, and he tears up when it looks at the picture of the Viet Nam monument he has hanging in his home.
Good luck in the contest...
Cheers & Blessings

HI
This poem really says
a great deal
in such few words.
This was the time I was in the USMC.
I went to the wall when it was 1st being put up on display near the Washington
Monument. Then again when it came to a nearby town. Both times, I found it to be a very powerfully moving hard experience. Simply because I know with out doubt my name would be on that wall but I was protected and not allowed to go over there to fight. My Colonel refused to send me when I asked to go.
