Carolyn, I am so sorry you had to go through this pain. I have heard they are very painful. But what an attitude you dis play! I mean, so brave of you to see this through a humorous angle. I stead of whining you were trying to make us laugh through your pain.
Thanks for sharing and I would pray that you are soon rid of this pain.(You can warn those blasted stones to behave or they will surely be crushed ruthlessly.

Dear Sanku,
Thanks for this wonderful review and your comments. That wasn't the last of the ordeal. But I am slowly recuperating.

Comment from Gloria ....
LOL, love the reference to fighting the law and the law won, even though it was a kidney stone. I've heard those things are desperately painful so you are a very brave woman.
This is a wonderfully entertaining, albeit painful, write. I'm glad you are here to tell us all about it. :)

Thanks Gloria, I appreciate your fine comments. I am still battling those little buggers. The CT scan showed more so the dr will decide what to do by next week. I apologize for the late reply. I haven't been on FS very much in the last few weeks. I hope to get caught up soon. :-) Carolyn

Been there, been done by that...never got the tee shirt. The only thing that helped me was hot showers, long walks, pausing to read a Psalm or two and much fervent prayer. Finally was operated on and have had no problems since...thank you Lord!

Thanks for your comments and empathy. They are awful. So glad your surgery was successful. I see the urologist on Tuesday so will know what they plan to do.

Hi, Carolyn.
Ouch! I hope you never have to experience kidney stones again! My brother recently went through a similar experience. As you described so well, it's excruciating and a pain like no other. Your description of a freight train passing through a straw is a great analogy for what you've gone through. What stands out the most is your amazing positive attitude throughout!
Bye
Rosalyne :)

Thanks Rosalyn,
I am glad you relate to this short story. Sorry your brother had to go through that. It is awful. Thanks for the comment about my attitude, we must be thankful in all things, even those that hurt. Experiences like these make me realize how fortunate I have been throughout my life.

Thanks dear Linda,
I think its time to be inspired by something other than torn shoulders or kidney stones. I have ask my muse to call a truce. LOL

G'day Carolyn, I am trying so hard not to laugh mate. Not at your pain but at the magnificent way you describe it. You tell those little buggers that if they don't knock it off and leave you alone, Uncle Feral will come there with his spear and make them stop it! Great little story, but I'm sorry about your pain. Cheers Fez

Thanks Fez,
I will find out Tuesday if there are any more of those little 'buggers' hiding in the kidney. Maybe I will threaten them with your spear. LOL
Glad you liked the 'telling' of my woeful tale. I am feeling stronger and better today so guess I'm gonna live.

oh Carolyn, I am so sorry that you have gone through such pain. When my father-in-law had that, they thought he was having a heart attack. I'm with you. I think I'd rather have sore shoulders. I hope they can maybe dissolve any more, if you have them. I've not had them, but knew they are painful. Hopefully you are done with them!! Nicely written. :>D Miss Sally

I must send this to my brother, LOL, he has stones in both his kidneys. I know it must be very painful, and I will not laugh, well, not much, well, perhaps I will!! I must send him your description of how it felt when they passed through, just to put a smile on his face! LOL. I loved your story, and I am sorry you had to suffer so much. (I'm not laughing, promise! LOL) xsx Sandra.

LOL, I thought it best to inform, but with humor. Sometimes the truth is the funniest thing. A friend of ours had them. He passed one and said ' he thought sure there was a baby coming through.' He also said if it had been left up to men to have the children there would only be one.
I hope your brother does ok. Are they doing anything for him? I'm seeing the urologist Tuesday, we will go from there. Don't worry about laughing, it's what I hoped for. LOL

Hey I am sorry about your son. Ouch! Yes cranberry juice and propel water. The dehydration is terrible.
Cardinals versus Yankees............. sounds good to me.
