Good job. I would grant you a sixer if I had one to give. Your poem is straightforward, easy to understand, on topic, and hits the mark both in talent and in content.

Thanks Marilyn, wish the voters had agreed with you. ;) Wendy

I know. When I write political stuff there's interesting blowback. Marilyn

She is completely untrustworthy. Your poem expresses well what a lot of us believe. Your rhyme is very good. Let's hope that if she does run for president, she doesn't get it.

The picture chosen to enhance this limerick was perfectly suited to the words. The writer has certainly answered the "political" prompt. Good job.

A beautiful effort, I'd say
Deserving a Hip-hip-hooray
These damn politicians
With crimes of commissions
Will all get their come up one day.
Regards
Reg

Your poem was really enthusing
About my political musing
For if you check the vote
Mine has quite missed the boat
You've lessened the heartache of losing
Thanks for the read and review Reg. - Wendy

solid rhyming in limerick format
good use of question to engage the reader
good alliteration and consonance in slick/skirt
excellent satiric tone to make a serious point, what I expect of this form :-) Brooke

Thanks so much Brooke. I do hate a bumpy limerick, don't you! ;)

Oh, I wish I had a six for this! It is so well done. And I heard Hilary is not that good with a computer (lol).
"Slick Willie's skirt chasing" drew a big smile from me. Benghazi notes was priceless. Though I am not sure all our readers, especially those not from the US know about that scandal.
What I really loved about your Limerick us that you have the right inflection, the beat that is characteristic of a Limerick. Not everyone gets it right, and this contest us no exception.
Good luck in the booths. Well done.

Thanks so much for the kind words and for sponsoring the contest. I guess I am such a news junkie that I forget about all those, 'Man On The Street," interviews on Jay Leno's Tonight Show, or the folks who embarrass themselves, and our education system, when they step into Watter's World. I have gone back and added author's notes which I hope will clarify the theme. I particularly appreciate your mention of the way the piece scans as it is something I work very hard to achieve in all of my poems. I do enjoy a superhighway read over a cart ride down a cobblestone street. - Wendy

Wendy, this is a great Limerick for this contest. I hadn't heard about Hilary and her emails until I reviewed another piece on a similar topic - naughty girl, but then who is surprised by a politician being devious?
Nice flick back to Bill's naughty days (I never thought he got what he deserved for that!) and a clever rhyme to cap it off.
Good luck.
Steve

Hey Steve. Not surprise that a scandal involving a democrat hasn't found its way to your part of the world. Unless it is Republican wrong doing, the press here barely glances. This time, it might just be her undoing. Potential felony since she signed a separation form when she left off as Sec. of State that swore she had turned over all documentation to the Government. OOPS, all but about 55,000 emails. Thanks for the review and I am glad that the King of the Limericks has given me a nod. - Wendy

You hit the nail on the head. There is such an aurora of deceit around her. You cannot believe anything she says. Your limerick is great. Good job and good luck in the contest.

Thanks for the read and review. I am so frustrated that they treat us like such fools and minions. Sure, it would be great to have a woman president. But I would hate for her to win and in a year or so have everyone saying, " Good Lord, let's never do that again!" Condi Rice, yes, Hillary, no.- Wendy
