One doesn't always think about the heartache the families of law enforcement go through. It has to be a tremendous weight they carry.

You've woven the three words seamlessly into a very nice poem. The blue of the poem echos the blue uniform and carries the theme throughout the poem. I like the way you balanced the theme words, "fear" and "riot" with "honor" and "love". May the streets be quiet, so our hearts never fear and love replaces riot. Excellent job.

Beautifully written. You sound like a very loving couple and I pray that continues. Law enforcement is a very heroic vocation, but I imagine there are many risks involved. Good luck in the contest.
