Poetry is all of what you have written about here and so much more. Poems on poetry are an interest to me, especially when they are as well written as this one is. I enjoyed partaking of this excellent piece of poetic art... John

Poetry is a way of thinking
a way of being
a way of living .. these lines say it all.
Beautifully worded, Debbie.
I've been away for several weeks. What a nice way to get back into the swing of Fanstory. :)
Love,

I don't think anybody could have summed it up better. You have incorporated all the attributes of this wonderful art.
It should have been entered in one of the competitions.
well done,
Best wishes

Your description of the whys and how we learn and exchange information in prose/poetry opens a line of thought that is clear and dear - hopefully a line of communication between participants that may not have been there before. The actual poems are what poetry does and should do to open this line of communication. Good luck with your group and the anthology.

You are so right, Debbie. You have put into words just how each and everyone of us can make a difference through our words and thoughts. What a lovely way to put it! I am going to enjoy reading reading more of your 'woven words'! :) xsx Sandra.

I don't remember what the 'Recovery in the Arts' presentation is. Did you tell us? Is it a gathering of people at which writers share works that they wrote that year in your writing group?
I love this introductory piece, preparing the reader for what's to follow.

There was an excellent connect and communion between the prose and the poem, the truth is this is the truth you have produced a good understanding of written and the visual arts, Debbie, it's true that society should be a level playing field, the the rules can suit all, well done, my friend, you've woven a good work here, blessings, Roy.

Exceptional! What a beautiful way to spell out what we attempt to do every time we write. To this I would add:
Poetry comes from a seed planted in the mind and soul by God who only seeks to be honored by the harvest of the seeds.
IMO if a writer's words send just a second of hope to the disabled then poetry's purpose has been served. By those words the heart's empty void has been filled.
Very nice. Thanks for posting this.
