Of course the name didn't have anything to do with me reading this..haha. I absolutely loved the picture and the poem was really cute. Great use of your few lines.

Hahaha, sure it didn't, JoAnn, that's what they ALL say, LOL.
Thanks for taking a jump at this little verse from my "lighter" muse. It doesn't happen very often, LOL...
With gratitude

Yeah, even I crawl of of my crumbling crypt every now and then, Missy. But, I rarely fare very well when I do. That's why I stick with what I know...how to scare people. LOL.
Thanks a bunch for reviewing this one. ~Dean

It's about 2,500 words Spooky. You may be too tired right now. heck, I ain't been to bed, yet. Worked all day on this. Have you slept? This is long, if you ain't slept, it will sap you. Listening to You Are Mu Sunshine embedded in this message. You must had inserted the embed code, pasted in it.
-
Nope, but I rarely sleep, Spook. I go three, maybe four days sometimes, without a wink of shuteye. I'm pretty used to it by now.
I did insert the code, but I can't figure out how to go in and edit my replies to make it stop, LOL. I just wanted to show you that it could be done. Now, if only I could un-do it, heh-heh...

No need. I love it! Keep the song on for me. Maybe I will send you something from the shining, next time I message you. He he.

Cute poem doing very well in the polls.
Great sync between image and poem
Like the 'mist' and 'stumped' puns
Monmorhyme gives the 5-7-5 a good flow. Not easy to do.
Snuck in some useful alliteration to aid the flow as well ie little lost, stumped, in such
All the best

Thanks, Mark, my friend. It was a little more difficult than it looks, that's for sure. It isn't doing all that well in the polls, but it was fun to write.
Thanks for the thoughtful review. :}

As always, I like the presentation of your poem
good alliteration in little lost
good use of mono-rhyming
mist-shrouded - add the hyphen
good play on words with literally being in the fog and figuratively being stumped, in a fog :-) Brooke

Thanks for having a look at this, Brooke, and for the helpful review and supportive comments. All are appreciated, very much.
Between hyphens and apostrophes, I think they'll wind up being the death of me! Have mercy... :}

Good spot-on rhyme in a well-penned animal poem;
Good visuals complement the little amphibian in his cozy tree;
"stumped, in such a fog";--the animal kingdom too has days of confusion and doubts.
I enjoyed your creative little poetry.

Heh, yeah! I remember those old frogs, Louie the Lizard and the Weasel Budweiser commercials. They're still some of the funniest ever created, except for the E-Trade baby, of course, LOL.
Much thanks for the review, Jean. And thanks for bringing back those old, fond memories.
Bud...wies---e-e-r-r-r-r-r-r-r! heh-heh...

R-R-R-r-r-r-r-ibit! Right back atcha'. Clever. Tells a short story in rhyme that makes sense. It took some thought to compose this one. I enjoyed reading this cute piece.

Thanks, BeasPeas, you're so kind, my friend. You're right, I did wrack my tired, old brain to try and get it all in there --the subtle rhyming, the puns, and the correct syllable counts. Not as easy as it sounds when your looking at the prompt rules, and thinking about entering. 'How hard can it be?' I thought. LOL.
Thanks again for your encouraging review. I appreciate it, very much. :}
