It was fun to write. The picture is confusing I must say. I'm just glad I'm married and retired!

Though I have the upmost tolerance for the gay community, I would take the greatest offence if conned into kissing a man on the lips.
Entertaining read with a clever ironic fun ending.
Best wishes, Ray

Great response. That is more along the lines of what I was thinking when I wrote this. The whole scene of dating and trying to find a mate is a big deception anyway. I guarantee that I'm not the catch I'm trying to portray when I'm on the prowl. Hahaha. But, how to react when you think in a tolerant way, but, like you say, it is offensive to be deceived in that way. Glad you liked this and appreciate the candid response. mikey

congratulations, Michael! First, I'm always impressed with a person's experience, especially if it's similar to mine. I spent 3 days in a Marine brig once. No fun. Secondly, I had a friend on R and R In Bangkok, from Vietnam. He was sitting in a bar touching this lady's leg. He slowly moved his hand farther up and was terribly surprised that "this lady" was better equipped than he. Third, I did a 100 word story and went by FanStory's Advanced editor. I was disqualified because there was 98 words in the story. Oh yes, I counted and came up with 98 as well. I had the idea that FS knew something I did not. Wrong. Learning experience. At least you only used your fingers, I had to take off my shoes. Best wishes.

I had that same problem with the editor. Word said 100, advanced said 102 then I changed it then it said 98. I kept playing around till finally I just counted with my fingers and put it in my notes. I'm too lazy for shoes. I wear flippies so my toes are always handy. Ha! This isn't an uncommon situation. The modern world. I miss the old days! mikey

A fast, fun, sassy piece with a wonderful intriguing ending. The blend of the smooth talk vibrating in the air like music, the quick assumption then realisation in 100 words makes this piece hard to stop reading over and over again.
P.S. Your write about Fan story advance word. I used it and I quickly figured out that spaces between paragraph's are counted as lines? Weird, isn't it?

The editor here is strange, yes! I had 100 words on Word, 102 on advanced here. I changed to 100 and it said 98. I finally counted with my fingers and wrote it all out in my notes. Hahaha. Glad you liked this one. It was fun to write once the idea hit me. mikey

Congratulations in winning the contest! Very good description of a hot and stylish chick until the truth is discovered. I think maybe this is a common experience these days...men fooling men!

This is a good story for this type of abbreviated format. It reminds of a buddy of mine who kissed a he/she in the Philippines even though he knew. He said he was pretty. MR. KNOW-iT-ALL MOMENT: 'alliterative' means words that begin with the same consonant sound = round the rigid rock .

I like this entry in 100 word dash contest! What an interesting twist in this well written story of an ironic encounter! Some of these boy/girls are prettier than some girls! I enjoyed this descriptively expressed narrative! Well done, good luck! Blessings, Roy.

So this raised a real chuckle in me for sure and I can see where it could be an enormous shock to the unsuspecting kisser. Still chuckling and I wish you luck - Dinah

I really enjoyed the conundrum the author faces in this situation. They want to be open minded but when confronted with being in such a position, what can they do? How quickly things can change when one is expecting one thing and it turns out to be something completely different.

Yep. You have it right on the money. Something that I'm sure happens. I imagine that it is something that happens to a degree between men and women too. You don't really know who you are meeting until you get to know them.
