I love the picture. The little beetle is a hard worker. I don't think I would like a life of handling manure. But then, something has to do it. Manure is a great fertilizer of the earth. Great work.

I guess these little critters will never go hungry, as all animals need to dump. I just hope it tastes better to them than I imagine. :-)
Apparently, the bigger the ball of sh*t the male gives the female, the MORE she is impressed. If only my love-life was that easy. ;-)

The thing that impresses me most about these beetles is how perfectly round those balls are... maybe that is what impresses the female beetles hah. Thanks for the review, cheers

This is real struggle. Pushing a load backwards using only hind legs. To say it is acrobatic is an understatement. But, don't we forget, he is the "breadwinner" and has to provide for his family. Take him as a working father who provides.
