I really enjoyed your writing. I could 'feel' the love you had for your wife, and through your writing, I can sense the joy that you were able to spend so many years with her, that far outweigh the grief of losing her. I can also sense how you are still able to hold on to the wonderful memories and I felt your gratitude for having so many wonderful years with her, and the rejoicing that comes with knowing you will see her again!

Thank you, Victoria. I've been distracted for a while, losing myself, but I'm back now, hoping to make an impression. Peter

Thank you for sharing your spiritual and loving Valentine's poem. I enjoyed all of your rhymed couplets in these rhythmic quatrains, but my favorite stanza is the powerful fourth about the "sacred vows". Warm regards- Joan

Dear Peter,
Although I do not have the same faith as you, I am so happy that you find comfort in your beliefs in this absolutely charming poem of remembrance.
Best regards

Thank you, Reg, my friend. I've translated your review; it now reads, "Although I'm not a believer, I'm pleased that you are comforted by a delusion."
You too have a faith, of course; it's called atheism, held, apparently by only 2.5 % of the world's population. Where are you going, man? Blessings, Peter

So I can wait, despite this pain
and trust that I"ll see you again
Your two lines of faith give a good feeling throughout the poem. Your use of commas, question marks and other grammatical points add to the flow of the poem. I am often unsure when I write,if I should use these.
I also like the line NOT LOST FOR I KNOW WHERE SHE IS,being capitalized. It makes your theme clear about faith.
This is a poem that shows your love for your wife and how faith can help us. I am sure Jinny is looking at you from heaven and smiling.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and comforting words, Elaine. I find the use of punctuation helpful whether writing or reading. Please ask if you want any pointers, maybe by sending a few poetic lines by private memo. Sorry for taking so long to reply. Blessings, Peter

Peter: another absolutely lovely work of compassion, love, respect, honor, gratitude, and hope. So much power to be put into a brief poem with all the trust and knowledge that GOD is looking after her now. Blessings, Vance

Peter, this is such a tender and lovely write that honors your Jinny and the institution of marriage. I appreciate the rhyme and meter that also convey the promise of God. You mention one of the best verses! :0 GracieAnn

Very pretty poem about your beloved wife, how she was with you last year but not this year. Yes and how God tells us there are many mansions up there. A comforting thought for sure.

I wish I had a six for you as this is so beautifully crafted
and emotive.
The loss of a loved one is always painful but when one
realizes they are with Jesus and we will see them again, the sorrow is eased.. In the meantime hold on to those lovely dreams. Nancy

this is very well written, peter, you did an excellent job writing this poem about the love that has no boundaries and your wife waits for you in Heaven. I enjoyed reading it and give you my last six of the week

Okay, now I am crying but out of respect for such a fantastic love story. This is a tremendous tribute to Jinny and to the faith that is our only comfort at times. Thank you for sharing your beautiful wife and for not being afraid to share how much you love her and miss her. I am sure she is sending that love back down to you as well. Blessings!
