This is very good! I like the idea, and I hope that it does inspire more people to vote often. Some of us tend to forget. But this serves as a friendly reminder.

If you entered a prompt or a contest that you pay member dollars for you can vote. You win member dollars back. If is a Fanstory contest the committee chooses the winner and the prize is cash. I don't know who the committee is but they are the deciding factor on those entries. Book of the month, poet of the month we get to vote on also. Check out your 'voting booth' for more info. Carolyn, this is a good message you wrote here. Although I don't normally make it a practice to enter contests on this site, I do frequent the voting booths for contests that intrigue me.

I am the same way, if I counted on the member dollars that can be won for prompts and other sponsored challenges etc. I would never have any to promote my work. I do it for experience and sometimes surprise. (Especially the anonymous ones lOL) I have no idea how the 'committee decisions' are made or even how many individuals make up the committee. Anyway, maybe we can all be better writers by our experiences and the ones of others. Hope you are having a great week my friend, :-) Carolyn

And friendship can't be beat, can it? Thanks for the review. From my calculations no one would get rich even if they won all of them. LOL However it is fun to enter and to see how many cast a vote.

I have learned so much since I started and every one is so kind to me helping me over the rough spots, I do get stuck and need a push from time to time

Okay. how much did Tom pay you to post this? Just kidding. It's easy to forget about the contests unless notified. I finish up my review session by going to the boards, but don't have enough time to read all the entries. I learn about what the voters want by reading the winners.
