When the will and determination to live have been eroded to bare empty hands crawling on the rocky ground, there came two shining hopes.
The spirit of God came out of him and told him to continue to have faith and belief.
He cannot be seen but can be felt and heard many times over in our minds and hearts. He sent him an angel in the form of a beautiful desirous wife to buffer him from his pain and suffering.
Like any angel, she kept vigil on him day and night and was worried for his safety and well being.
Not a night went by without being a sleepless night for her. She could have flown away but she stayed and persevered.
Her courage and determination finally brought him to his senses to continue on with life.
God and his angels could only do so much - the will to survive and continue is a choice left to us to decide.
A true story written in a very passionate and heartfelt way. I do believe in happy endings and this story will end up as an epic of positivity in the end, i am sure, smiles.
Well penned and expressed.
Cheerio, blessings and best wishes plus prayers coming your way, Ritchie. :))

    This really affected me.
God and his angels could only do so much - the will to survive and continue is a choice left to us to decide.
I'm so moved. You're right. And you're right about everything else. Exactly right. You're such a good human being with a glowing soul. Thank you for caring and thank you for giving me hope. I'm getting much better. I thank God everyday for my wife and for people like you Ritchie. Thank you. Truly.

    Hi Gregory,

You have forgotten to thank one more person - yourself. Being a good husband and the nice guy to all of us here - never an unkind word but always a word of thanks to us and really showing your appreciation.
You must not forget how great you are to all of us. I know so because i have read so many of your reviews and replies and I do know who are the nice and kind people here and you belong to this category of the elite group.
Your short lapse of anger and mental anguish is common to all of us. We have gone through them as well. Now it is God's challenge for us to get pass our problems and issues and to see each morning as a new day of hope.
If we should fail to do that it meant we have given up not only ourselves but on God, our Father. He is in pain seeing us suffered but if sufferings and pains can improve our well-being then it had to be done this way.
God also faced a dilemma, contrary to what we all have imagined. His greatest strength and folly was to give us a free will of CHOICE. For that, he had to accept every consequence of his Will and Destiny upon His creation â?? we, humans.
If we should fail again this time and fell from His grace as in the 1st Garden of Eden, there might be NO SECOND CHANCE!
Take this life and give it our best shot - whether we are in one piece or in pieces is not important other than the fact that we have to PASS this test of life this time around.
Jesus's second coming can be any day and so let's not wait anymore with what we have to do NOW.
Time is of the essence - we cannot and will not let worries, concerns, personal conflicts, hatred or whatsoever come between us and the will to live a life worthy of God's praise. Smiles.
This review comments will be in the Finale of "Mind of Landscapes - Finding God (Finale)".
At the end of each day have we all forgotten how God suffered looking at our behavior and senseless wars, destruction of nature, environmental abuses and the list goes on.
If we think we have a lot of problems, think again - God has six billion fold more! (based on the world's staistics of 6 billion people).
Well, i know I rant but this simple revelation will make us see how small our own personal problems really are compared to God's, smiles.
Did someone just said God is a happy entity? Or did we missed that part in the Bible? Maybe I did, smiles.
Cheerio brother, go beyond your imagination and find the light. Don't ever let the devil control our temptations and we might just be saved for all time.

    Blessings, bro Ritchie. :))

A beautiful ABCderian Greg and one which you have placed a lot of faith. To count that as the reason for being alive is only topped by the fact the she is the reason you are living. Boy, some write guy.

Thanks so much. I love your reviews. Its a huge compliment when you enjoy something I write. Yeah there was a lot of me in this. I usually don't do these novelty type poems but I wanted to give it a try and see if I could add some depth. Thank you. Really.

An excellent abecedarian love story of how the love of a woman pulled you from the depths of despairing depravity to a heavenly bliss. Like the visualization of the empty grasping hand seeking redemption. You used all the alphabet as you wove your tale. I flowed well. Clever use of "X marks the spot" to handle that difficult letter. You added spirituality and romance. A formidable free verse poem

Thank you so much. As always you caught the things I was going for. No one got the X difficulty. I wanted to do something creative instead of using a word no one knew or x-ray, where it sounded forced. You're the best. I love that you caught that. Truly thank you for the great compliments. It means a lot. Love your reviews.

Thank you Brooke! These poems are sort of novelty formats. I usually dont do these types of poems. I wanted to try one though, but actually make it serious, have depth. I'm glad you saw that. Thank you so much for reading!

He has ensured that you are able to go on with your life and has offered you your partner in life whom you will cherish and adore for all your days, for she is the light of your life, and your inspiration for poetry.

Before I read the author notes, the face that beckoned your dreams....the moonlight whispers on the tide..... your beautiful candace who saved you from your cast/your restriction of misery; imprisoned, crippled, broken. To keep you, you plead, the naked child of innocence, purity, stripped bare of all emotion. You gasp air into your lungs as if you've been suffocating: new life enters. And as she treads through the poison to find the real you to reach your heart. Your angel. She has your back and you have zero desire to ever go back to whence you came. Greg, that is magnificent. Excellent. You are so full of emotion I love to read your thoughts. Well done sweetie. Sheryn :-)

Wow I can't tell you how much that means to me. I put a lot of myself into this, even though its a novelty format. I thought I'd try to make it serious, have depth. It seems like you got it, as always. How are you? How's the move going?

    Truly thank you

Have another house opening this morning at 0900. I'm over it already. The kids can't handle the house being too perfect. Lol. And getting up so early. Desperate to write, but not really in a good head space to do it justice - you know exactly what I mean. How's the pain today?
reply by the author on 15-Oct-2013
Oh I'm sorry it'll sell! The pain is bad today for some reason. Its like the tenth day. Should be over soon though. Thank you for asking.

Oh wow, Gregory, I can honestly say this is the best abecedarian I think I've read anywhere. I can't begin to dissect this jewel to single anything out - I loved it all.

Drunk with concrete feet...too tight to scratch steps; icicles exploding into the sun - you have a definite talent in combining clashing elements. And really forgot that this is an abc poem- which is a good thing. I truly believe that at times people are pushed to meet or guided. I never expected to meet my wife- had all but given up on having a family. We hold each other up. I am glad that you will never again have empty palms.

Thank you so much. As always, you got it. I'm SO glad you forgot it was ABC. That means it stood on its own. I usually don't do these types of novelty poems but I wanted to try and do it while adding depth, etc. I'm really glad you appreciated that. My wife saved me. She is my proof of God. I hope you are doing well my friend. Things are going to get good. I promise.

Gregory, this is just so beautiful. In so many ways, it just pulls at my heart and I can't express how much I loved the author's notes as well. Something very special is written here.

Wow. Wow. Thank you. You've made me really happy. Really happy. I'm so grateful and happy that you "got" it. She is my proof that God loves me. He found me. I was lost before. He sent her to me. I truly believe that. I know that. This poem had a lot of "me" in it. Sometimes formatted poems can come off cheesy. I wanted this to have depth and it looks like you recognized that! I'm so very grateful. Thank you, thank you. Truly.

trapped inside an endless swamp, armless to swim .. oh, Greg ... how awful

Beautifully done - what a feat - you made it through the entire alphabet!

Thank God for his merciful grace and for the triumphant gift of the precious one he sent to you.

Hope you are doing well, my friend.

Are you using the list of declarations?

Sonali :)
