" I can" - sometimes a hard thing to say or believe w/out feeling like a train ( i think I can). really like your message and how you deliver it, your images of the inner world, melodious raindrops sometimes being the sublime fuel for audacious thoughts. that is if we listen. and sometimes that is hard to do.

The inner feelings, the urges and the temptations are all rolled into a nice parcel ready for delivery to our hearts. Use our minds and brains to sort things out.
For affairs of the heart, heed the inner feelings and never forgo common sense and contemplation in decisions of life. Believe and nurture strengths and courage to persevere. There are no right or wrong answers, but have an open mind to find solutions of compromise, charity and well being.
Good write and well penned.
cheerio, Ritchie.

Hi Dossie,
I just loved the meaning in this poem. We have to exercise so many faculties availbel to arrive at an approximate right answer to decision making.
Smiles.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I have this uncanny gift to feel what the poet wants to say especially about life. As a bonus, I want to share with you my favorite poem:
"Ancora Imparo - I am Still Learning"
Why does childbirth have to be so painful
Is it important that the newborn must cry to survive
Suffering, pain and a cry
Ancora imparo. A book in our hands
The days and nights will always greet us
The shadows and lights play out
Unfolding each day for us to see and feel
Ancora imparo. A lesson well learnt
Babies cry day and night, no peace at times
Crying for milk, to clean up the mess
Maybe in sickness, great and small
Ancora imparo. This I come to believe is life
In teenage years, love and joy prevail
Harm and protection everyone gets most of the time
Learning to cope with our emotions and thoughts
Ancora imparo. This I did not learn well, pardon me
We search for happiness, make demands
For a better life, a shining tomorrow
Perhaps, we ask too much and fall badly
Ancora imparo, I am still trying to understand why
When fate took a twist and the turn is bad
We declare passionately to the heavens
Why is this so, can it not happen another way
Ancora imparo. I am not sure anymore
Our expectations, our worries, our aspirations
When will they all end peacefully and harmoniously
Why are we searching so desperately to know
Ancora imparo. We never found any right answers
Still we want to ask as we grow older
Now wiser, smarter and more knowledgeable
We thought we knew how to deal with life's situations
Ancora imparo. Did we really get it right this time
No measure of disappointments or failures
Did the persistent ones stop exploring and dissecting
Every dead body that turns up in the grave yard
Ancora imparo. Did we find worms in those bodies
For every horrible incident of bad vibes
We quickly come to a conclusion cleverly answered
Fools will remain fools no matter how many times
We whisper Ancora imparo. The equations do not add up
Now well advanced with heavy wrinkles
We still ask the same questions that generations before us did
Are we getting anywhere closer to solving Einstein's theory
In relativity we look blankly at Ancora imparo
Do we or do we not know
Who can tell us the truth of life
Bring the books and all the experts
Yet, Ancora imparo won again hands down
(end of poem)
Cheerio, hugs and thanks so much for sharing yours. Ritchie.

Visual fit the poem well. I am a user of italics to make a word jump its meaning out and I read some in this work that I felt would benefit from said. The message in the poem flowed - nice! It reminded me of a Blue Mountain Card!!!

I like the message conveyed by your poem. We often do have the answers within us, but are reluctant to pay attention to the feelings that are within us.
Well written and inspirational, Titanx9!

There are two reasons why this gets a 6: 1) you used the word "effecting"... Now this word is a very rarely used word because like myself, a lot of people aren't smart enough to know how to use it because of its confusion with "affect"... 2) this is also a very uplifting poem that rekindles the fire in us all by telling us to believe in ourselves and to never quit... I liked this a lot :) thank you!!!

This is lovely inspirational verse. Yes, it is so important to believe in ourselves. If we don't, we deprive ourselves of all sorts of joy and opportunities. It was very loving of you to write this up-building poem for your friend. I'm sure she appreciated it.
Warmest wishes,
Grace

Dossie,
The poem is skillfully written and strikes a cord with me and many others, I'm sure. The inner voice is a constant struggle, between 'I can' and 'I can't' as each day poses new challenges. Your color scheme, font, and picture add emphasis to the piece. I enjoyed the read.
