Excellent 5-7-5 poem, Cindy. I can see why it won the movie contest. It's perfect and made me smile. I particularly liked your abb rhyme scheme. Congratulations on winning :-) Tricia

Great match. The poem tells of a great love story which years later Woody Allen made a movie called, "Play It Again, Sam" Of course a comedy. Excellent senryu. Glad you won. Les

Even without the authors note, anyone should know this is Casablanca. This poem doesn't need anything else. When you read it, you have just watch the whole movie from beginning to end. I love this work. Very charming.

Even people who hadn't seen the movie knew those lines. This is my first win and I think I owe at least some of it to the fact that it was such a great movie. Thanks for reviewing.

This one was a bit of a challenge. There was so much to say with just seventeen syllables. Glad you liked it. Thanks for reviewing.

Thanks. I hope it created an image of Sam playing for Rick and Judy. I loved that scene. Thanks for the review.

'Of All The Gin Joints' is exactly what this talented poet says. It could only be taken from one fantastic film. This work is short, succinct and very much to the point. It was a pleasure to read and review a work of this standard.

It's Humphrey Bogart's line, of course. I'm glad you liked my little movie haiku. Thanks for reviewing.

You know something funny I have never seen this movie not once but I do know the line, I think I am the only one I know who has not, great little poem.
