Hi ameen,
This is a most fabulous poem but the rules won't let me give you a six (sob) Your rhyming pattern is excellent and your word selection is descriptive and evocative. I feel so sorry for the people of Africa and I wonder if we really know how fortunate we are? Bravo! Blessings, chey

For some very interesting history study the past of South Africa. I am happy to claim both black and white friends from there. Only yesterday a dear friend of mine was buried. He was a white man that had been a missionary to blacks in South Africa. His one desire was to go back. My first thought when I learned of his death was "Hope went to Heaven" That quickly changed to "Hope comes down from Heaven". I do not believe death stops good works. Lots said in your ten lines of reminder and warning.

Is something going on if Africa now? I know it's a poor
country and would agree: Even natives collaborate.
Plundered your wealth? Again, I'm lost. I don't know my history that well. I just assume it's all true as greed has always always been a motive to take over countries. I enjoyed the word choices and rhythm however, just confused on the context.

Think colonialism my friend and to this day, the continent is robbed of its wealth in diamonds, oil, etc. As always, appreciate your time and the kind review, thank you very much.

This a most profound piece. It speaks to centuries of the pillaging of Africa, both within and without, while folks live in sub-standard conditions. Now that China has set its sights on this continent, I wonder whether there be anything left for the indigenous people. I commend you for writing this flowing, descriptive and rhythmic piece. Beautiful artwork.

A powerful poem, I like how you've dealt with historical reference to colonialism and over time it's become the same old story, just a different lot of people claiming they will civilise natives, converting them into God fearing people. I really like this line: Fertile soil left to dehydrate. Your poem reads as though it's equally applicable within a country's own political context.
