I hope someone is nearby Yto warn Rebecca about trusting Grayson Webb. What a scoundrel! It's interesting that his grandfather wants to take him down and take back his land. Then there's Althea, with her missing .son. Suggestion: "Mommy, I want to come home (.) I see althea's also related to Rebecca. Yes, this is a tangled web. Good chapter. Thanks for the character listing. It helps lots. Blessings. Carol

Ah there is another web of intrigue being woven, and another complex chapter being written in the annals of the mysterious vineyard and it's connections, even ghostly ancestors after the tangled inheritance, for the offspring, beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy

Looks like there is going to be a few more missing people other than just Travis before we know it. LOL. Okay, so that probably isn't funny, but you know me. Thanks for sharing.

Well now, Carol.
A battle of the ghosts brewing, the kidnapping intrigue grows and still no sign of the missing judge.
This has all the markings of some sort of crimne mystery thing going on.
I love it

I could really feel the anger in Conrelius' voice when he was talking to Grayson. I love how you keep the tension ticking up a notch with each scene and you do this really well. Another excellent piece, Carol, I enjoyed reading it.

Thank you, Jacob. Coming from a fellow mystery and crime writer I definitely appreciate your thoughts on the story. This one has a lot of plots being entertwined with the others so I hope I can hold it together and not get lost myself. Appreciate the review.

Althea is in a lot of trouble, and really needs to speak to Rebecca or Garth. If Eleanor could find her that would be a big help and a better way to find Travis. I know, she can't annoy the mob, she might not see her son again.
Then, that idiot Grayson, if he thinks he can get Rebecca, he's an even bigger fool than even Cornelius gave him credit for. We need to get Miriam out of that mirror too! Another great chapter, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

So she's been conscripted by the baddies to work with them if she ever wasnts to see her son again? That's another complication for them all to resolve, and there's already so much going on - but my hunch is that all the strands are interwoven and will come together in a huge climactic denouement. And Greyson is a sleaze. Can he be worse than Cornelius? Well done. (I just hope I don't forget any bits.)

I'm wondering if the story needs a short summary at the beginning to keep things straight... Not a thorough one but skimming the chapters. Oh, and I did a blooper...the young boys name is Travis not Trevor....Thanks so much, Wendy!

Do these ages work in your thoughts....
If I base it on my family lineage and prohibition...
Cornelius (born early 1900s) Antonio and Miriam too!
Mason Webb and Angela (born in 40s)
Garth, Donatelli, Jenna - age in his early 40s
Grayson, Rebecca, Allie, in their late 30 or early 40
Althea a little younger and her son Travis - 8 or 9

Wow. I have a pretty good attention span and even I startled at the introduction of another character and more gang involvement and a mom I'm not feeling much more than disdain for.
Isn't Trevor dead? I'm trying to figure out how old this Anthea is....
I'm going to need a complete program roster pretty soon!

Don't be silly. I would never "not" like a reply nor is there a way I could send it back! I hope you were kidding! This "not going through" thing has happened to a lot of us on site and I don't know why. Thanks for the clarification on the Trevor/Travis thing...and the age ranges help a lot!
-
Did you mis that LOL... My brain is fried...I have been making some stupid mistakes...like not posting the right story... got some stuff on my mind and I write to keep it at bay but then I goof things up. Did those age ranges seem right to you????? Hope all is well.

All is as well as it needs to be, thanks. The ages make sense to me now. I went back and reread and I was better able to understand who fit where...

well, this is the first chapter I've read, then when I finished, I went to make some comments on it and saw your list of characters and about died. How can anybody keep up with a list of that many people?
At any rate, I hope she rescues her son without either one of them getting hurt.
So you are number one ranked author of the whole FS group? And number 3 in the novelist ranking? and, my goodness, number 9 reviewer? You must live on this site. Congratulations! That is quite something!

Don't let the character list scare you... I've list the gangsters and others who merely have cameos in the story too. And lately, yes, my computer is owning me... I say I'm not going to stay on it all day...but I do for the most part....writing.... I live in the country and it's too cold to go outside. I can choose cleaning or writing...Hmmm... writing wins hands down.
Thanks for reading and I hope you will continue to follow.
