Very heartwarming presentation of your childhoods special memory. O, t h e mind of a child... how dear, how kasting. Nicely done, I hope to give my children lasting grand memories, that are simple, but special, like the one your father created fir you.

Gypsy, I bet that was a really great Bethlehem that he put together. I wish I could have seen it. We used to visit Tom's mom and dad in Bethlehem, PA for Christmas. They had a lot of great things to see there. Thank you for sharing with us! love, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my dear friend! Teri

We have small nativity scene on our fireplace hearth and a large outside one. We're still building onto that one. Maybe next year, it'll be finished. I enjoyed reading. Yes, it is the small things that build memories. Wonderful job of writing.

This is very well written I very much enjoyed listening to it. It flows very well when it is read aloud. I am glad that you had such nice Christmases with the villages that your father made of the town of Bethlehem. Patricia.

What a moving and poignant Christmas memory, Gypsy. It is a lovely story as you set the scene for your 5-7-5... I love haibuns and it's a perfect response for this prompt. I wish you good luck.

I'm so sorry that such a precious representation of your father should have been lost. I too adored anything small when I was young so I can relate to the magic this city model held for you. It was not just beautiful to your young eyes but symbolised the essence of Christmas and reinforced your enduring faith. Thank you for sharing your charming Haibun, Gypsy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Debbie
