Being in your bed when the boat is going over, there falls are over. The damn is a very good place to be as long as you don't dream of getting all wet and then find out that it wasn't the water. It was something else. Lol.

That is a nightmare. The description makes the dream easy to visualize for the reader. It is a good thing you woke up. You Could have gotten very wet. The story is well narrated with the surprise ending.

Beautiful image, Carol, and story to go with it. A very good opening hook. The progression of events is also very good. You are enjoying this peaceful ride with "sweet memories." Eventually, the boat came close to the dam. You have a very good twist at the end. A very good entry I enjoyed reading. Good luck in the contest. Did you catch yourself screaming out loud? I used to do that. I would rather be on a blissful boat!

I have such vivid dreams... nearly nightmares sometimes. Falling in the abyss is the worst. I recall hearing that if you don't awaken before hitting bottom you will die.
