I have been away for a week, lost in Florida's hurricane Milton without electrical power or internet. But I am back now, and see I had missed a lot. I enjoyed both Eleanor and Danni's antics. I would love to see this episode played out on a wide screen. The audience would appreciate a good laugh, and your creative humor.

What a hoot! Red balls of fire? "GHOSTBUSTERS" blaring on the radio? I had to sit back and appreciate the amusement Eleanor gets from saying "You can't kill me -- I'm dead!" In such a complex plot with many characters you deliver an action-packed chapter and somehow leave us chuckling! How do you come up with these things!?

I couldn't wait for your review on this one.... I loved writing this chapter. Eleanor is a "ghost" after my own heart and if I was given a chance I would certainly walk in her shoes. I am thrilled that you loved this one as much as I did writing it.

I kept thinking this needs to be made into a movie! As much as I watched it through your words -- how cool would it be to see Eleanor doing these things on the big screen! (Meryl Streep LOVES taking character roles -- let's think BIG!

I would be out of this world thrilled if someone thought it was worth it.... I just hope I can get it published. The first one has four more chapters of proofing and then whatever comes after that. It's taking a lot longer than they had said, but it is what it is. Love ya, Carol

I hear that a LOT. I recall an arduous wait and discouraging delays with my two books...

Like childbirth-- once your "baby" is published you'll forget all about he "labor!"

I know...I just would like it done by Christmas...then I can give them as presents and my family either reads them or tosses them in a closet. LOL More likely the closet.
reply by karenina on 13-Oct-2024
Stop that! This is a huge accomplishment! I know my (autographed) copy will never see the closet! (Hint-Hint)

Oh you have had fun here, Carol! Love those two ghosts getting the better of Henry and Bryce and the Ghostbusters on the radio! It's a wonderful genre you've made your own here and a joy to read. Well done! Debbie

I've never given the slightest thought to what being a ghost might be like, but you, and Elenore of course, have caused my wicked side to come up with all kinds of ideas. Thanks for sharing.

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE IT! Doesn't sound so bad being able to do whatever you want and no one sees it or can stop you. Of course, it would always be nice!

Yes, and especially, if you could feel what you want to, and dodge bullets. :-)

Hi Carol, this was a fun chapter, and if I may add full of suspense. I loved how Eleanor stepped in to save her daughter. When the bullet went through her ghostly self, I shuddered with her. Such a great write. Hugs, Ulla xxx

Yes, I do love me some ghosts. I remember way back when I hated the idea of writing about ghosts but I like Lorrie in Unwilling Inheritance and then Eleanor exploded on the scene with her humor and I can't explain how much fu I have with her. I shuddered too as the bullet went through her...wondering how it would go over. Thanks so much for enjoying it as much as I do.

Well, these ghosts are certainly full of their pranks. They seem to be having fun. It seems to be very helpful to have a ghost or two the writing team. If you're having trouble getting them out of the messes, they've gotten themselves into, you can just let the ghost do a little magic. I think you've almost got this crime story solved.

And I think you might be right! I'm working on the last chapter now...or so I think. Since I'm considering a third in the series for November, there's a posibility that things will carry over into the next book. Now exactly sure yet.
thanks for the review and I hope you enjoyed it.

It was really interesting seeing this protective side to Eleanor as she fought to protect her daughter. I loved seeing the reaction on Bryce's face as he realised who Eleanor was. This was really well done, Carol. I really enjoyed reading it.

I love writing the parts about the ghosts, especially Eleanor. She makes me happy with her antics. Thank you for enjoying this chapter and I believe there will be two more and then we move on. Appreciate all your time and comments.

A fun chapter with our ghost detective gals finally using their ghost abilities for their maximum effect against the bad guys. I like that Donatelli finally appreciated what Eleanor did!

Donatelli is about to learn a few more things about life besides always being grouchy...or at least I hope he is. Thanks for reading and enjoying the ghosts. I know I do!

Excellent chapter! Very moving to see the bond between Eleanor and Jenna, with the former literally taking a bullet for her. And Danni has done her job brilliantly. Lots of humour re their reactions. Would have loved to see their faces.

Just loved this post Carol. That's a twiddle Eleanor being able to hurls firebombs at those crooked men, that's some form of crime fighting that would be a new form of justice dealing with revenge being heaped on those crook's heads, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the fun, well done, blessings Roy

Don't you love it! I could just picture Eleanor tossing them at the bad guys as they raced to their car. She'd have been laughing and truly enjoying herself. Thanks for the review and for enjoying the story.
