A great poem for your friend Ric. Good on him for not declaring his age. My Mother always said to me 'Don't tell anyone your age, when they know it they will probably look closely at you and, think or say, well that could be right' When one of my young dance pupils asks how old I am. I say '101'

I think Ric would be smiling after reading the birthday poem you wrote. He will never tell you how old he is. He's a man after all. Age is only a number. We do appreciate the Birthday Faery! K xx

Ann, Lol, I know, but I take the fun little things I learn and have to use it for entertainment. One guytook it so serious that he accused Rick of being vain. Haha. I let him know that Rick was not that way at all that it was just me trying to be funny.

The last thing I would have suspected was that Ric might have a trace of shyness. I never saw that coming. He is one of my favorite reviewers and and an excellent novelist. I just wish he posted more often. He always reviews my work even when he admits he does understand poetry. He must not be too old because I've heard at a certain age you stop not telling and start to be proud of it. I suspect he may be using a younger picture because he really that one really looks good.

For some reason, Beth, sometimes I get two reviews from you every once in a while. Don't know what that is about, but of course they are always the same.
Yes, I do believe that Ric isn't shy either. I used it as part of a sweet personality trait of not being vain in any way. But even tho I teased about his age, it was all in fun of a joke he made with me to not ask his age, because he doesn't tell anyone. So I ran with it and used it as the humor part of the poem. He is an awesome guy and was a great sport with it.

LOL, I hope everyone realizes that the joking around about his age was just for humor. Poor guy is probably getting lots of teasing now.
Actually it's me too about the age thing. I am 69 and for the life of me I don't know how I blinked and life passed me by. LOL, I feel like Ric does about mentally still feeling young, as I am 69. I feel like I am my own grandma. hahaha! Thanks again, dear friend. love, Debi

Great artwork and presentation to this great tribute to Ric. Age can be a fun thing to joke with a friend about. It's a running joke with some of my friends and now we all seem to be sharing our age as we are kind of proud of making it this far.
