Brilliant idea -she shed and the name is better than fancy 'she parlour ' or 'she cabin' .Building this was the most important lesson a mother could give her daughter-self reliance .I loved this.

I love the idea of a she-shed! I mean, men have men-caves.
The life lesson of Eileen teaching Trixie that being able to support herself is precious and should never be forgotten! Great stuff, Gretchen! Best, JohnC

Thanks, John. I am not a power tool person, but I have friends who are queens of power tools. Good to be in their company. Glad you liked my story. Gretchen

This is a delightful story demonstrating 'Girl Power.' This is a lesson that should be taught to all young girls. Having a male to do things for you, like kill bugs, is nice, but girls should know they don't have to be dependent. Your story flows smoothly, holds interest, and is well written.
At my previous house, I had a she-shed, but it was built by Home Depot.

Girl power! You go girls!
You do a great job giving the background for the story and what led to the girls doing their own thing. Boys are so easily distracted, aren't they. I'm glad you grew in confidence and now have your own special place to get away. Love the she-shed idea!

Wonderful story to impower women. We can do it. YEAH!!!!
She was the kind of woman who took several minutes to figure out which direction the batteries went in for the remote control. (You know me way too well.)
As she snuggled in next to her husband that very night, (she snuggled beside her )

Lol. I fight with batteries and plugs and on/off switches. Thanks for this. Gretchen

Gretchen, this is a well-written story with a strong woman character. I do believe that is a genre you have mastered. Eileen will probably get her own home improvement show, "Woman with a Cordless Drill." Good job. Terry.

I think Eileen will definitely learn as she goes. Trixie might be the next star. Lol. Thank you so much for this nice review. Gretchen

Good on them. No reason why women can't achieve whatever they set their minds on. Often only limited by self-belief. Well written story.

Typo dinghy should be dingy.

Excellent. All power to you. I have found, as a lifelong academic, that DIY is quite possible for all with a few YouTube videos and some common sense. I built a 400 brick wall and installed a whole new bathroom suite, and they all stand firm.

Good for you. I am too lazy to do full construction but I'm not afraid to change out a shower curtain. Lol. Thanks for this nice review. Gretchen

Yes!! That is cool. Women need sheds. I have my own now, but somehow garden tools keep creeping in. I must have made it too attractive. It is definitely attractive to the dog and cat. Sigh.

Just love it, I guess if one can't, or rather thinks that they can't, that's a big waste of initiative, I love this, it's actually amazing what one can do if one really tries, I approve of this, I'm always on the so called underdogs succeeding, beautifully written, blessings Roy
Typo : the white paint was (dinghy - small boat) dingy?
