Janet, you are so sweet and I appreciate your kind comments for John's poem and I know he will appreciate them as well.
My first surgery went very well and am getting a little sight back little by little.
Now I am excited to see what the next one brings. Can't wait for them to give me more screen time and use it on finally reviewing some of you that have been doing mine for so long. Thanks again dear friend.

A kind poem written about your friend John! It's structured nicely with its rhyming couplets. Idk if you were being intentional with how many syllables were in a line, just about every one has 8 syllables, only 'John will always have their backs' and 'Sadly, I have some bad news' fell short if you were wanting them to all be the same. Overall good job!

Alina, appreciate your reviews, but sometimes meter is more important, than syllables. Thank you for your feedback but it is hard to review poems that have so much pressure to tell an exact story. Most who are regulars here are more aware of that..

Thanks Jake! I am sure that John will appreciate your very kind comments for him and his poem as much as I do. He was fun to write about.
I have you planned for your birthday ten days after mine, which is the 29th of October. I will be contacting you around a week before to get any additional information. I have found that people truly love to read about each other and know more about their friends here, so I will keep trying to do that and hopefully do them all proud. Thanks again my friend for the kind review.

Hey Sweetie Pie! Thanks so much for the kind review and comments for John's poem. I could tell that his sons were the most important in his life so I gave them a little more ink than I do normally. And I know John was very appreciative. I get the biggest reward of all by doing these for my special friends here. Thanks for your kind words dear one and I will see you next week on the 24th.
