What a friendly poem to cheer your friend Karenina up. I really like the last four lines. It sounds like you have a long and lasting friendship as well. "To lay back and re-boot" is a clever phrase as well. I think you did an excellent job here.

Debi, great job. For Karenina:
Karenina,
I have been away tending to husband with a re-injured leg after slipping on ice on our granite stoop, so I had no idea about your fall. I am so sorry, I know what it means to lose mobility and be in pain. The hazards of aging tend to stay too far in the back of our mind until they are forced to the front. Hoping and praying for a speedy recovery! We just added five grab bars in the last couple days and I am hoping to meet with a contractor on Wednesday to do some more "seniorizing." Reality is hard to accept.
Blessings,
Sue

Poor sweetie! That's darn bad luck and we only realize how dangerous it can be after the fall. I hope it heals well and fast. But I'm sure she's learned a good lesson. She might never fall again - I hope. You did a nice job with the rhymes. Sometimes they kind of surprised me, coming in a little later than expected. Still, it made the poem a little special. Well done!

Thank you for the lovely review Scotti, and based on your kind comments, it sounded like you liked it. Could you please tell me what you thought could be improved on this, since you only gave it a four star review?

Hi Debi, our poor Karenina. She has not had a break, but actually she
just has--bad joke. Karenina is the sweetest person. She deserves some sunshine and rainbows, and so do you. I don't know when this bad-luck streak will end, but I pray that it ends today. Tonight, I'll bow my head in prayer, and I will say one for Karenina and one for you, my SOTU. Well done. Thank you for sharing and keeping us abreast of our FS family.

Appreciate that you are making FS members aware of this. I laughed at line 4! Actually I laughed at the humor you used to record this horrendous event.

Shari, so nice to hear from you and your fun comments. You always make me smile. Thanks so much my sweet friend.
So sorry this is late, but I'm waiting to have eye surgery and until then, I am really slow in getting my reviewers thanked. Just want to make sure you know how much it is appreciated.

Poor Karenina! I'll zip over to her profile and send a get-well wish and prayer for her.
The poem... I'm not sure if you made her laugh, but you made me laugh! 'reboot'? HA! That was the best. :)
Love it and love you for bringing cheer to a friend in need.
Blessings and great job!

Very well written. You shared compassion and humor, the top two ingredients to healing. Thank you for sharing a very well poem. I am not sure if it is fiction or non fiction, but if I were you friend, I would love a get well greeting like this.
Good Luck

Oh my goodness!!!
Debi, I can't believe this!!! Our poor girl, I'll have to drop her a note soon. Unbelievable. A shop vac on the stairs? What on earth was she doing vacuuming the stairs with a shop vac for? Those things are so big and clumsy.
I'll tell you one thing for sure a break is much better than a fracture! A break is healed in 6 weeks. A fracture, they never really know. When it heals, will it heal correctly or not? They can't reset it like they can a break, so a break is better. I hope the funnybone is just bruised.

Hi Suzy, first of all I want to tell you how much I enjoyed Helen's post with you on the frozen lake. Coming from a place where we have over 11,000 frozen ones, all the men do around here is fish. Anyway I thank you for your kind review and comments for my poem, Karenina.
I sure appreciate it my friend

Yeah, they do that here too... but the weather has been so wacky here this year, the tents haven't popped up yet! Last weekend, my ex came up to Jay to go skiing, and caught the rain. lol

That is how it is here now. Normally our January is awful, be had so awful in December, that this doesn't feel bad at all. Yesterday it did rain, but sitting at 32 degrees today
