Hi Terry, Damn. I missed some great parties. I wish I had neighbors like you and Zoe. It might be an understatement to say that Zoe was the life of the party. My condolences on the upcoming anniversary of Zoe's passing which is also followed by All Souls Day on November 2nd. Terry, I loved this story. I could feel Zoe's love for life and your love for her. I enjoyed reading about Zoe's parties. My sister is a Spanish teacher, and she makes a Day of the Dead altar every year. I think it is great that you make a DOD altar with some of Zoe's favorite things. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes to you.

My condolence on your wife's passing. The celebration of DOD reminds me of ALL SOULS DAY within the Catholic's tradition. That day is for those who passed before us. However, it is nowhere near the festivities that you have written on DOD.

I just loved this story and would have attended Zoe's DOD parties. I think it is a wonderful tradition that the Mexicans have and it is a great way to honor those who have passed on, I also like that your cats were honored as well.
