Bravo-the fuck-o! "The Pumpkin Spice Latte" is a story that won the revenge contest "best served cold." The reason is it is funny in the same way the repeated bit on Family Guy is funny - the one where Peter Griffin has knock-down, drag-out fights with a man-sized chicken. Classic!

Around that time I was trying to figure out something that would be so ridiculous to take, over the top, revenge for. I saw the ad and just went with that idea. Lol. Oh my! A lot of violence spiced up with humor and all because of a pumpkin-flavored, overprized coffee! I can't even begin to imagine as I don't drink coffee and don't like pumpkin! But it did make me chortle.

Thank you for the great review, Lyenochka. Yeah, I don't like the taste of any kind of coffee either. I did hear that Starbucks was going to have this coming sometime soon on a commercial. I was trying to think of the most ridiculous thing someone would take revenge for and go way over the top with it. When I heard about the Starbucks latte, that's what I decided to go with. Lol. Wow, I must say I have read some of the most creative pieces, this one among them, in response to the "Best Served Cold" writing prompt. You did a great job writing all the action sequences. Reading this was like watching an action movie. It's ironic too and I loved the little twist with the "best served hot," rather than cold at the end. I saw a few places where I thought the paragraphs could have be divided up, but could be just a stylistic preference of mine and not a problem, so I am just pointing out the possibility that you could change it just a bit. Otherwise, the writing was good.

Thank you for the review, Sandra. The pic is actually part of the story, the end where he goes back to Starbucks for his latte. No other reviewers ever mention the font size. In case you don't know, all you have to do is hold down the "CTRL" key on your keyboard and at the same time, roll the middle roller on your mouse and that will let you zoom in closer and make the words larger to read.
Yes, this was just a silly story for the contest. It was meant to be unbelievable. I really appreciate the generous stars and good luck wishes. Have a fantastic rest of your weekend.
