nice poem about winter, and finding life surviving the dark days of winter I like the image of the single blade of grass surviving despite the cold snow all around.

This is very, very beautiful. Like the rest of your poems. I love the three lines, but I think the satori line is perfect even though it only has one word.
I've read your notes again in the hope that they will eventually help.
Maybe I've asked you this already, but what do you do to include a second picture?
Thanks for sharing.

To add second picture you need two programs, Windows Paint, and imageshack.com. paint comes with your computer"s windows applications but you have to pay for imageshack.
M...HOW TO EMBED A HAIKU ON A PICTURE
FIRST chose a picture (google, pinterest.com, deviantart.com) and save it to your computer.
SECOND, open the Windows PAINT program. You can find it in the WINDOWS ACCESSORIES. A quick way to find it is to type the word PAINT in your computer's SEARCH box located in the LEFT BOTTOM CORNER of your computer's DESKTOP
THIRD, click on FILE in your PAINT TOOLBAR, and from the down menu, click OPEN and select DESKTOP and click on the picture you want.
FOURTH, from the PAINT TOOLBAR, click on the SELECT icon located close to the top left.
FIFTH, You click down on the picture and pressing on the box with your mouse, drag the square to the size big enough to fit your poem.
SIXTH, Type your poem directly on the PICTURE, or write it in a document, copy, and paste in the PAINT SELECT box.
seventh, SAVE the picture and poem should be on your desktop
===============================
THEN you need an image hosting program like IMAGESHACK.COM or PHOTOBUCKET.COM. Imageshack costs 19 dollars a year. Photobucket costs 6 or 8 dollars a month. I use Imageshack.com.
OPEN IMAGESHACK.COM
CLICK on UPLOAD
CLICK on the square on the top right corner (between a minus sign and an X --- looks like two squares on top of each other (it?s called ...restore down...) Your page should get smaller and you should be able to see your desktop
CLICK on the picture you want and drag it to the upload box
YOU should have a BROUSE AND UPLOAD inside the box you should see a hyperlink (something like this: https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/1512/1ENce8.jpg)
COPY the link
IN FANSTORY, click on WRITE (like when you post a poem or story)
CLICK on POST A POEM
CLICK on USE ADVANCED EDITOR
ON your toolbar CLICK on IMAGE an icon that looks like a picture (between SELECT ALL and TABLE)
IN the down menu of IMAGE PROPERTIES click inside the URL box and PASTE the hyperlink:
https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/1512/1ENce8.jpg
ON the third box down ?.WIDTH type 500
CLICK OKAY
SAVE
YOU ARE DONE!!!!

Thanks so much. Sorry I bothered you. I thought it would be easier.
Sounds as complicated as writing a haiku... plus I work with a Mac. Maybe one day I'll feel brave enough to try.
-
You didn't bother me. I have the instructions in a folder. Other people have asked me before. Don't feel bad to ask, I like to help. :)

I think nature.will always give signs of hope midst the hurly burly of life, there is always hope, and that crocus flower or blade of grass should reveal that very well indeed, well done, blessings Roy

This is a beautiful modern Haiku! Lone blade of grass in a white winter world--solitude says so much without pretense as it twirls around the truth of what one feels. I love the alliteration of white winter world and I love the answer with the aha moment when you realize that you have a need for solitude!
Thanks for sharing your talent!

An interesting reflection on Solitude and the many forms it may take - imbuing a sense of isolation perhaps - aptly portrayed here through words and visual art - I like that quote from Novalis in the notes- haven't come across this poet before- one of the joys of a writing site!

Love that! Yes, a brave soul beating all odds to grow as a "lone blade of grass in a white winter world " shows not only solitude but hope and persistence. It may be the lone voice in a harsh world but it still seeks the Light. Enjoyed your poem!!
