I really think what you have done with your photographs that visually illustrate with great impact the change from a happy girl to a sad girl.
Your poem has powerfully illustrated the stigma of abuse, and hope resolved through faith.
Excellent write, Shirley, albeit a most sad subject.

Hi Shirley, the shame is that the abusers...
don't know or care what they do to the ones they abuse...
I am so sorry that happened to you...
but your right...there is hope in God's hands...
He will always be there for you...
very well written my sweet friend...and the pictures say it all...God Bless sweet girl...love much...Linda xxoo

I like it because I can relate.
Sometimes it is hard to let go of the feelings that abuse evokes, but through God, there is always hope, and healing, when we look.
A very true and real statement that you captured beautifully in your poem.
Keep sharing.

Lovely and meaningful poem. I have also suffered abuse so I know the stigma and pain. Archbishop Oscar Romero said that some truths can only be seen through tears of suffering. that is how I think you see hope. Well done.
