Cassie is still missing, but the reader knows whom her father is. He is Roy, city police chief. Joe has brought Dani in to help him find Cassie. This is an exciting chapter.

I have only used it once in over three chapters. As soon as I inserted it, I knew you would say something. I somehow felt it would fit here. That's what I would do. Thank you for your kind review. Joe's temper is going to cause issues.

Barbara, this was an interesting mix of violence, love, suspence and action in one short chapter. I hope that Dani is right about Joe, which I feel she is. I hope they find Cassie and that all is well, but I have a feeling more suspence and action is yet to come.

The story continues to be fascinating. We get a really different view of Joe here, but you assure the reader through Dani that he's still the great guy we thought he was. The suspense about what's happened to Cassie is growing. I'm waiting for the next chapter.
